Michael Steele Bondage Gate

The mega online gambling website, Sportsbook.com (see site here), is contemplating offering odds on RNC Chairman Michael Steele's likelihood to step down or be let go from his position following a much publicized "Bondage-Gate" scandal.

The RNC is taking heat for the latest gaffe under Steele's leadership whereby the RNC expensed a nearly $2,000 bill for a risque Los Angeles nightclub and there is now talk of frustration within the party.

Consultant Erik Brown is alleged to have expensed the funds for the bondage-themed nightclub that featured salacious lesbian acts (woman-on-woman).

The RNC has launched an investigation into the matter but there are already calls for Steele to step down from members of his own party.

Mark DeMoss, a major RNC donor during George W. Bush's presidency who heads a Christian public-relations firm in Atlanta, said that spending so lavishly during an economic downturn is "mind-boggling." "Virtually the entire country -- from big businesses to small business -- had to make cutbacks," he said. "To think the Republican Party wouldn't do the same thing, I think, suggests either a tone-deafness or just that they don't care, which would maybe be worse."

The Sportsbook.com offering would enhance an otherwise dormant political betting menu that features only 2012 US Presidential betting odds.
