We told you a while back that reliably red Utah could actually go Democratic this Election season.

That was back in August but the Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s chances started to dwindle as GOP nominee Donald Trump began to gain steam.

Enter a shock video tape of Trump making disparaging comments about women, more specifically talking about how he is able to “grab them by the p****”.  And now Clinton is suddenly leading the nation by double digits.

As we discussed back in August, Utah Republicans, a majority of whom are devout Mormons, have not exactly been enamored with Trump.

The embattled real estate magnate is still a favorite to win Utah, but at anywhere from -250 to -400 odds, there is little value in betting on him to win there even with some pundits insisting the state is nowhere near ready to vote for a Democrat to win the White House.  Indeed, it hasn’t happened since 1964.

Utah saw the 3rd largest percentage growth in population over the past decade (about 24%). The state gained one electoral vote, giving it 6 through the 2020 presidential election.
