Did Sarah Palin Help Cover Up Daughter’s Pregnancy?

Following news reports that Republican Presidential nominee John McCain's newly selected running mate, Sarah Palin, may have exercised bad judgment in taking a nine hour flight while 8 months pregnant and after her water reportedly broke, rumors have been flying that the baby may actually have been born to her own 16-year old daughter.

The unsubstantiated rumors seem to have circulated around reports that her daughter had not attended school for a long period of time after contracting mono. Further, Palin was said not to even be "showing". This is one of the explanations she gave for why Alaska Airlines allowed her to make the nine hour flight back home from Texas.

Here's a report (excerpted from the popular blog The Moderate Voice):

[Governor Palin's] oldest girl is rumored to have actually been the one who had the last baby, the one with Down's Syndrome. She was taken out of school the last 4 or 5 months of her mother's pregnancy. On March 5th, 2008 Alaska's Republican Governor, Sarah Palin, announced to the media that she was 7 months pregnant with her 5th child. She is currently 44.Palin's daughter Bristol is 16 and attends an Anchorage high school. Students who have attended class with her report that she has been out of school for months, claiming a prolonged case of mono.Palin does not appear pregnant in any recent photographs. The announcement came as quite a shock to people who had worked closely with her, and have been quoted as saying that she did not appear pregnant whatsoever during the prior 7 months.

Palin has reportedly been accused of abusing her power as Alaska governor to try to get her ex-brother-in-law fired as a state trooper. An investigation is underway.

When asked if she was Ready To Be President? Palin responded: "Absolutely. Yup, Yup"

Meanwhile, Democratic candidate Barack Obama's odds have become slightly more favorable after hitting -175. Heading into Sunday, Obama's odds were listed at -205. It is unclear whether Obama's brilliant Thursday night speech or the selection of Palin have had anything to do with the very slight rise. McCain paid $165 for every $100 bet at Bookmaker.com

Palin's Pregency

Palin did not get permission to fly while she was pregnet and here daughter was on that flight. This proves that she can not be trusted. She was hiding a unwanted pregnetcy of here 15 yr old daughter.

her daughter is 17...that

her daughter is 17...that proves that you cannot be trusted.

She did not get permission to fly

According to an article from April 22 in Alaska Daily News "Palin's Child Diagnosed With Down Syndrome" http://www.adn.com/626/story/382864.html her doctor was interviewed and stated she did not ask for permission to fly. "Palin said she felt fine but had leaked amniotic fluid and also felt some contractions that seemed different from the false labor she had been having for months. "I said I am going to stay for the day. I have a speech I was determined to give," Palin said. She gave the luncheon keynote address for the energy conference. Palin kept in close contact with Baldwin-Johnson. The contractions slowed to one or two an hour, "which is not active labor," the doctor said. "Things were already settling down when she talked to me," Baldwin-Johnson said. Palin did not ask for a medical OK to fly, the doctor said." Reports state she flew Alaska Airlines home. I called Alaska Airlines who told me that out of DFW their sister airline, American Airlines has ONE flight to Anchorage per day, that is at 3:45 arriving 7:40 in the evening which coincides with what Sarah states herself as her arrival time. The American Airlines person on the phone told me the duration of the flight is 6hr 55 minutes. American Airlines REQUIRES a physician's approval for flying at eight months. In another article she stated, "I didn't tell the airlines I was pregnant, nor did I try to hide it" What is this sort of behavior everyone? The labor was INDUCED and and she gave birth at 6:30 in the morning the next day, Friday, THEN she returned to work on Monday and supposedly took the infant WITH her. A one month premature Down Syndrome child. Does anyone here know that pediatricians tell new mothers not to take their infants out around other people for ten days and CERTAINLY not a premature infant. This is just the absolute most CRAZY and irresponsible behavior I have ever heard of and NOTE, pro-life I would THINK involves protecting your child (fetus and post partum) in every way possible. She gave by her OWN words the "luncheon keynote speech" then immediately must have gone to DFW (the convention was in Grapevive which is right close to DFW). I would REALLY like to know what the nature of her back and forth conversations were with her physician in Alaska were all about if according to her own physician she didn't seek medical advise about flying because NO DOCTOR would tell a 44 year old pregnant woman pregnant with a Down Syndrome child calling him telling him she was leaking amniotic fluid to do anything BUT go directly to the ER. Everyone has to remember here, this is supposedly a pro-life nominee. Doesn't pro-Life include asking your physician if it's safe to fly in such a situation which it clearly was NOT? Her "pro-life" position is PURE hypocrasy.

You don't need permission to

You don't need permission to fly on Alaskan Airlines if pregnant. Alaskan Airlines' policy is to leave that decision up to the pregnant mother and doctor. How about you do research before you make stupid claims?

The 3:45 pm is a CODE SHARE with AA

The 3:45 PM flight is actually an American Airlines flight, which Alaska lists one of their own. Code sharing is a common practice among airlines, so that International passengers can get to their destination on a single ticket. American Airlines requires a medical certificate for pregnant women in their ninth month. AND that's for pregnancies with no complications. Women with complications are not allowed to fly at all.
