WSOP No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball Final Features Negreanu, Volpe, Mercier

A handful of big name poker players have made the final table of the World Series of Poker Event #13: No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball with the top three finishes all having some degree of name recognition.  These included the likes of Daniel Negreanu and Paul Volpe, the later of whom ultimately won.  All of those playing at the final table had enjoyed past success on the live tournament circuit.

Volpe earned $253,524 for the victory, not to mention the bragging rights that come with beating one of the most stacked WSOP final tables in recent memory.

New Jersey native Paul Volpe has won $2,451,651 over his career.

Canadian Neagreanu, who finished 2nd, is one of the biggest money earners in the game, having amassed $21,824,255 in career live tournament play.

As if that weren’t enough, Jason Mercier also made the final cut.

The 24-year-old from Fort Lauderdale, Florida has won $10,286,617 in career live tournaments over his short playing career.  He finished 3rd at the coveted Aussie Millions this year, taking home a cool $276,940.

The rest of the final table included Brian Rast, whose earnings amount to $6,077,523 in career live play.  Rast also has two WSOP bracelets.

Texas native Larry Wright won $713,464 in career live tournament play and has one WSOP bracelet.  He just finished 2nd at the Bellagio High Roller IV.

Palmdale, California native John Monnette has two World Series of Poker bracelets and nearly $2 million in career live tournament winnings.

And finally, Abe Mosseri from the Florida Keys is a one-time WSOP bracelet winner with just over $1 million in live tournament earnings.

And Volpe just added another $253,524 to his career earnings.
