Joseph Cheong was the chip leader with Warwick Mirzikinian of New South Whales, Australia trailing in second.  Montserrat’s Aubin Cazals was in third place at press time.

Cheong, you might recall, made the final table of the 2010 World Series of Poker, finishing 3rd and winning just over $4.1 million.

Mirzikinian will be enjoying his biggest cashout no matter the finish.  To date, that number was just over $54,000 in a single event.  He’ll rake in at least $162,000 here.

Cazals came in 2nd at the Euro Finals of Poker No Limit Hold’em DIAMOND Championship, which yielded much of his live poker earnings to date, $138,374.

Event 7 Seven Card Stud

This WSOP event was won by Andy Bloch.  He takes home $126,363.  Popular pro Barry Greenstein finished 2nd while David Williams finished in 4th place.

Event 8 Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better

Thayer Rasmussen and John Racener were two big names still in contention at press time for this event, which pays out $264,400.
