Win $220,000 With CEREUS Point Race Celebration

Dec 3 2008 - 10:40am

First major promo offered through the CEREUS Poker Network invites players to compete for $220,000 in free money

The CEREUS Poker Network is taking its highly publicized bigger and better concept to an extreme. Just two months after UltimateBet and Absolute Poker each launched a $115,000 Points Race, both online poker sites today announced a $220,000 contest set to get underway on December 1st.

To qualify for UltimateBet's Points Race promo and Absolute Poker's Race Cards contest, online poker players must earn RAI$E Status Points at UltimateBet or FAME Credits at Absolute Poker by playing in any real-money raked ring game between December 1st and 31st.

At the end of the qualifying period, the top 200 Status Point earners on each site's leaderboard will share in a $200,000 prize pool that includes $15,000 for the first place finisher, $14,000 for the second place finisher, and $13,000 for the player who ranks third. Players in the top 30 are guaranteed to win $1,000 and that number grows based on leaderboard rank.

An invitation to a freeroll for an additional $20,000 will be extended to the top 1,000 Status Point earners on each leaderboard. The $200,000 prize pool for the top Status Point earners is double the amount offered in each online poker site's October Points Race contest. On Tuesday, Absolute Poker and UltimateBet announced that they had completed their transition to the CEREUS Poker Network, offering online poker players a host of new features and promising bigger tournaments, hotter promotions, and higher Bad Beat Jackpots. Online poker players at both sites have already realized the benefits that come with an expanded player base through a soaring Bad Beat Jackpot. By Thursday morning, the jackpot of the Texas Hold'em game was bordering on the $800,000 mark. Thanks to CEREUS, UltimateBet's Points Race contest and Absolute Poker's Race Cards promotion continue to deliver on the promise of a bigger and better online poker experience for players at both online poker sites. Full details on both Points Race promotions can be found at ultimatebet.com and absolutepoker.com.
