One of the newest proprietary online poker rooms to come out of the post-Black Friday era, SurebetPoker.com, debuted last month promising one of the lowest rakes – 3.5 percent – among Web card rooms.  They also landed former UB.com celebrity poker pro, Trishelle Cannatella.

The site has hit a few early road blocks, including some isolated payment processing issues and affiliates of SurebetPoker.com are spamming the hell out of popular poker forums like TwoPlusTwo.com.

Still, SurebetPoker.com has some great things going for it.

Another major road block for any startup Internet poker network, developing a significant enough player pool.

From Two Plus Two:

Vic, uHulll, and anyone else interested, there are now players at Sure Bet. Saw up to 15 online and 11 seated today. That may seem deserted by some standards, but up to now it has been a struggle to find one player seated for heads up. Biggest action has been 3 way, but today that changed. Played in a full cash 6 seater for the first time.

The poster added:

Today I heard this from a player at the table, and in all honesty I think it's the biggest compliment about an online poker site I have ever heard. He said "does a flush ever hit here? Even hitting a pair is hard." I said "yes they hit but not like they do on other sites, this is the nearest to real poker I have ever played."

Hearing that was like finding an oasis in a desert. Oh please please please survive.

Jason Sallman, CEO of SurebetPoker.com, is also becoming a regular fixture on the PocketFives.com website

SurebetPoker.com is not currently accepting US players for real money as initially planned prior to Black Friday (April 15 crackdown on some US-facing online poker sites whose executives were charged with bank fraud).
