Shaun Deeb Incredible Poker Feat: Wins Unprecedented 5th SCOOP Title

Never before has PokerStars, and maybe even the online poker world, witnessed such domination by one player in an online tournament series. Shaun Deeb has now won four High stakes events in SCOOP 2012 – 10-H, 19-H, 26-H and 38-H – to put him on a record five SCOOP titles in total. His stats for this series now read: 25 cashes, 8 final tables, 4 wins, $236,951.39 – and there’s still two more events to come. What price on Deeb going deep in today’s Main Event? You wouldn’t bet against it.

Outspoken British pro Luke Schwartz won his first SCOOP event last night in the 36-H: $5,200 PLO 6-Max for $174,200, as did Mike Sowers in 36-M: $530 PLO 6-Max, adding a SCOOP watch to his WCOOP bracelet earned back in 2009.

Meanwhile, there was a mixture of disappointment and success for Argentinean Team PokerStars Pro Nacho Barbero, who enjoyed another deep run – this time in 38-M: $215 HORSE – but fell at the final hurdle to take his second runner-up finish of the series. He was beaten heads-up by ‘Drew M Scott’, who won his second SCOOP of 2012 and has gone top of the Medium Player of the Series Leaderboard to go along with his second place status in the Low and Overall Leaderboards, with just two events to go.
