Call it the Parting Poker Network, Jamie Gold and the PPN Online Poker Network's relationship has gone cold.

Exactly one day after PPN Online Poker Network CEO Chuck Kidd declared on Quadjacks.com that player representative Jamie Gold was not in any trouble with the Borgata Casino for reportedly “bouncing a check”, Kidd announced on Thursday the two would be parting ways.

Kidd suggested that TMZ.com had “made the report up” regarding Gold’s “bounced $50K check”.

“I spoke to Jamie and it is not true,” Kidd said.

The timing of the split seems a bit intriguing.

"Chuck is a great guy, who made me an amazing offer which I gratefully accepted at the time," stated the 2006 WSOP Main Event Champion.

"The deal struck with Jamie Gold around the first week of April, and prior to Black Friday, included generous PPN online and WSOP monetary benefits attached to clear commitments," Kidd commented.

The parties tried to work through their differences, but at the end of the day, no deal could be structured to their mutual benefit. Out of respect for one another, with neither party wishing to bind the other to anything less than a long-term win/win situation, they came to this joint resolution.

“We were excited at the opportunity to embark on a new venture with the WSOP Champion, but Gold was unable to fulfill his obligations as he has informed us that he will be embarking upon a new series of exciting poker sponsorships.”

Poker Players Network is on Cake, which June 30, 2011 announced its July 2011 monthly bonus initiatives, including its popular Gold Card Turbo promo. During the month of July players can trade their Gold Cards in for seats in over $10,000 in freeroll tournaments
