Poker Tournament News:  2012 WSOP Circuit Harrah’s Atlantic City Updates

In Tuesday’s poker tournament news, the 2012 WSOP Circuit Harrah’s Atlantic City Event #5, a $580 No-Limit Hold’em tournament, drew more than 30 percent more players than the previous $580 No-Limit Hold’em event held at Harrah’s Resort. In all, 260 players registered creating a prizepool of $129, 675. The top 27 spots will pay with a min cash worth $1,048. The champion will pocket $31,770.

Moshe Bernstein fended off Harrah’s Resort Casino Champion contenders Jeffrey Fielder and Sal Busacca to win his first WSOP Circuit ring.

He was awarded $28,223 and 50 points towards the Casino Championship, a race he now headlines with the three other Harrah’s Resort champions.

The 2012 WPT Prague Day 1b is complete with Mikhail Mazunin leading.  Alexander Staengle was second with Brian Lemke with the third largest number of chips. 

Another 179 players bought in on Day 1b to bring the total field so far up to 294 players.
