PartyPoker and Matchroom Sport have just announced that from April 11-13 at the Les Ambassadeurs club in Mayfair, London, they will be hosting the PartyPoker.com Big Game IV, one of the year's most highly anticipated televised poker cash games. Not only that, but they are looking to generate buzz by announcing that they have extended an invitation to high stakes online poker phenom Isildur1. If accepted, this would be the first known live event attended by the still anonymous Swedish player.

Already confirmed to participate are "Unabomber" Phil Laak and girlfriend Jennifer Tilly, Isaac Haxton, Tony G., Neil Channing and Luke "Full Flush" Schwartz. A pairing of Schwartz and Isildur1 at the same live game could lead to some serious fireworks. Even the other players seem to be acutely aware as to how Isildur1's presence would benefit the game itself as Tony G. has even offered to stake him in the game.

The obvious question would seem to be how the anonymous online pro would participate while keeping his identity a secret. Seems the organizer's of the event have already given this some serious though. When posed the question, Matchroom Sport managing director Eddie Hearn said

"We have been in contact with Isildur1 and would love him to join the game. If he wants we will even make special arrangements so that he doesn't have to reveal his identity to anyone. We are quite happy to let him play wearing a mask or in disguise."

Already one of the most popular poker shows in London, the organizer's have added a unique little wrinkle, giving players the ability to "evict" an opponent and replace them with a new one every 2 hours. Not necessarily seeking the absolute top players such as Phil Ivey and his contemporaries, the show is built around bringing together colorful personalities which makes for more entertaining poker television.

Just the presence of Isildur1 in a live setting should be enough to kick the ratings up several ticks.
