Phil Hellmuth Parties Down Under as Scott Davies Wins WSOP APAC Main Event

13-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner has been partying it up with the likes of Shane Warne and Antonio Esfandiari while taking part in this year’s WSOP APAC events.  APAC stands for Asia Pacific.

Hellmuth, who is interviewed below, tweeted earlier in the day:

Thanks @CrownPoker for doing a great job hosting @WSOP APAC! The staff is terrific, and I love the city if Melbourne and Crown Casino

The event concluded Saturday with the USA’s Scott Davies, now residing in Vancouver, British Columbia, winning a cool $850,136 top prize in the main event.  This was Davies first WSOP bracelet win.

“Oh my god, this is amazing!” he declared.  “This is the Super Bowl to me. It’s all I’ve ever wanted. When I decided I was going to play poker for a living I just remember Chris Moneymaker winning the Main Event and thought one day I might get a chance to do that.”
