Phil Hellmuth Cashes Out in 4th 2009 WSOP Event

World Series of Poker bracelet record holder, Phil Hellmuth, managed to finish in 14th place at Event #48 - WSOP Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo 8 or Better with winnings of $11,347.  So far, Hellmuth has earned more than $40,000 at this year's WSOP, a far cry from the six figure winnings we have seen him win in years previous.

Hellmuth reported on his Twitter page this weekend:

Played the spots off of the cards!! Played one of the best days of poker of my life...Folded As-2s-5c-J: they had A-A-2!! I am out 14th

He was shut out of a tournament on Sunday after it sold out; good news considering Gambling911.com had reported earlier on Sunday that at least one of the events witnessed half the attendance it had last year

"I am super tired anyway, but it was a bad move on my part to let this happen," Hellmuth said of missing the Sunday tournament.

Phil Hellmuth is a spokesperson for www.ultimatebet.com, which this week became the 5th biggest online poker room in the world.

Nice math Gambling 911

Phil Hellmuth has cashed four times at this years WSOP for: $11,347 $8,019 $3,231 $12,761 His cashes this year total $35,358. Of course your report states that he has earned over $40,000. Does anyone in your office do any fact checking? Or does part of Ultimate Bet's advertising deal with you demand that you lie about their player's accomplishments. Your report also doesn't mention that if Phil Hellmuth had to pay for his own buy-ins (Ultimate Bet almost certainly pays for him) he would be down a good deal of money because he played and didn't cash in the $40,000 NLH event. If it wasn't for occasional sports betting news, this website would be completely worthless.
