Patrik Antonius vs. Brandon Adams Tennis Match

The much anticipated Patrik Antonius vs. Brandon Adams tennis match took place this week with a $300,000 bet.

Meanwhile the online poker company Antonius represents is yet to pay US players in the millions.  The majority of Full Tilt Poker players living in the States are unable to attend this year’s World Series of Poker while their money is being held in limbo by Full Tilt Poker.

Quadjacks.com host Agent Marco expressed outrage over the event.

“Let’s go publish how proudly we are flaunting the company (FTP) that is not paying out players,” he said, calling the attendance “outrageous” and “despicable” in the light of the current situation.

A handful of poker pros, including Full Tilt Poker rep Phil Ivey, have chosen to sit out the World Series of Poker in protest of the company’s failure to pay out its US players.  Some players outside the US are also claiming slow pays from FTP.

Eric Morris, Publisher of Bluff Magazine, suggested that Antonius could always decide to spread the money won among the poor.

“If he pocketed it for himself that would be a shame,” Morris noted.

Card Player Magazine gleefully promoted the Patrik Antonius vs. Brandon Adams tennis match.
