Big name poker pro Patrik Antonius was among the biggest chip leaders at the 2009 Aussie Millions - the biggest poker tournament in the Southern Hemisphere - after Day 1a.  Antonius was in second place with a chip count of 139,750 while Chris Chronis came in first with a chip count of 175,375.

The starting field for Days 1a and 1b was 393 players with Day 1c expected to draw quite a bit more. US$1.33 million was guaranteed at the 2009 Aussie Millions and many of the big name poker pros were participating.

Chronis is a native Australian player with over $100,000 career winnings.  Antonius, on the other hand, has live poker tournament winnings to date totaling just shy of $3 million.

The Finnish player, who currently resides in Monte Carlo, was advised by celebrity poker player, Jennifer Harman.

James Obst is a familiar name on the poker circuit, having taken in over a million in career poker winnings over the years.  He was in 5th place after the second day of play.
