Brunson, who turns 83 Wednesday, tweeted:

“I’m off my political platform and soap box.  Good luck America, doesn’t look like either POTUS candidate is fit to lead #goodbye

Brunson’s tweet comes just hours after Republican nominee Donald Trump suggested “Second Amendment People” could act against Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

The Trump campaign released a statement insisting opaquely that Mr. Trump had been referring to the “power of unification” as opposed to a veiled threat against Mrs. Clinton.

The writing was on the wall (literally) back in early July when Brunson began tweeting that both political parties were “pathetic”.  He spent much of that day eradicating followers who were attacking his views.

Brunson spent earlier in the day questioning Clinton’s health.

He tweeted:

The woman has serious health problems.

Fellow poker pro Mike Matusow continues to support Trump with a recent poll demonstrating that nearly half of his 1700 plus respondents are Republicans.

Known as “The Mouth”, Matusow has retweeted news stories about Clinton’s “failing brain health” while accusing the social media site of blocking the posting of any anti-Hillary videos.

Nearly a quarter of the books now have Clinton at 1-4 odds of becoming the next US President while Trump was at -275.
