Ivey Poker Bites the Dust

The social poker site Ivey Poker (IveyPoker.com) has shut down this week a little over a year after launching.

Full Flush Poker 150% Welcome Bonus and 20% Cashback

The move was not unexpected as Ivey Poker had already informed some of its pros they would be shutting down.

Phil Ivey, the site’s founder and one of the most successful players in the game today, may be looking towards California to legalize Web poker for real money.  He currently has a marketing agreement with the Pala tribe in California.

The move comes just weeks after Ivey lost a £7.7 million ($12.4 million) lawsuit to Crockford’s Casino in the United Kingdom.  A judge determined that Ivey's "edge sorting" technique constituted cheating under civil law.
