One of the hottest names in online poker is a handle whose identity is not immediately known - Isildur1.

Isildur1 is like one of those recording artists who go only by their first name (i.e. Madonna).  It doesn't really matter who he is and perhaps that is part of this player's mystique, though he is rumored to be one Viktor Blom.

Isildur is a fictional character in J. R. R. Tolkien's legendarium. He appears in the author's books The Lord of the Rings, The Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales.

It's no fiction that Isildur1 is making quite an impact in the world of online poker.

From PocketFives.com:

Isildur1 dropped a seven-figure pot to Durrrr Challenge participant Patrik Antonius. The $1.3 million exchange marked the largest online poker pot in history and is generating a considerable amount of buzz for Full Tilt as the $25,000 buy-in Pot Limit Omaha Heads-Up World Championship played out on this weekend on the world's second largest online poker site.

Pro player Phil Ivey went up against Isildur1 last week and logged 982 hands of NL Holdem, and an $800k win.

He is currently the most profitable player on Full Tilt Poker in 2009, making a cool $5.5 million dollars in profit over the first 10 1/2 months of the year.
