Imad Fakhro Gets Over 200K Mark at Eureka Hamburg Main Event

Imad Fakhro bagged 206,600 to finish Day 1b of the €1,100 Eureka 5 Hamburg Main Event in chip lead. Although the German couldn't match Day 1a leader Kadir Uzunoglu, he was the only player in today's 111-entry field who managed to get over the 200k mark. The German wasn't comfortable to reveal any information about himself, being shy even to pose during the chip leader photo shooting.

Tim Kahlmeyer cashed eight times at the World Series of Poker and now he is aiming to add another cash, on the home soil in the Eureka Hamburg Main Event. Kahlmeyer bagged 74,600 tonight just ahead of his fellow countryman Marco Matthes, whose career's best result came in the 2009 WSOP Main Event (23rd for $352k). Matthes will continue with 72,500. Tobias Peters is another well-known player on the live scene and the Dutchman also appeared on Day 1b. Peters survived with 65,600.
EPT3 Baden champ Thang Duc Nguyen played as well but fell during the tenth level of the day. 35 players made it through today and you can see their chip counts here.

The Main Event will now pause for two days and will come back to the schedule on Wednesday (May 27) with Day 1c, followed on Thursday (May 28) by Day 1d. Both remaining flights are expect to be the busiest ones, attacking the 200-entry cap. They will feature many famous players - Team PokerStars Pro Jan Heitmann, Friend of PokerStars Natalie Hof, EPT11 Player of the Year Dzmitry Urbanovich, EPT champions Allan Baekke & Jannick Wrang, Eureka 4 Vienna champ Zoltan Gal as well as German TV host "Elton" and popular video bloggers "CommanderKrieger" and "T-Zon".

Main Event Day 1b top five chip counts:
1st - Imad Fakhro, Germany, 206,600
2nd - Nick Krasniqi, Germany, 168,000
3rd - Elias Pilot, Germany, 166,600

GERMAN FOOTBALL STAR MAX KRUSE TO PLAY THE HIGH ROLLER
Tomorrow, the €2,200 High Roller will take over the spotlight with Day 1 kick off set for 7pm. Germany's football star Max Kruse confirmed his participation in the High Roller. The 27-year-old striker has won 10 caps for the national team and although he wasn't part of the Germany's World Cup winning squad last year, he had a decent summer in Las Vegas. Kruse proved his poker abilities at the World Series of Poker, finishing third in a NL 2-7 Draw Lowball event for $36,494.
Dzmitry Urbanovich won the Eureka High Roller for €25,725 in Rozvadov back in February, starting his phenomenal live tournament winning campaign. Urbanovich then earned €2.3 millions at the last two EPT stops including his quadruple in Malta, beating previous European Poker Tour records.
