Howard Lederer All-In at Live Poker Events as US Government Closes In

Following a series of long winded interviews with various poker media outlets, Howard Lederer now appears more comfortable than ever attending live poker events.

He was MIA for nearly a year-and-a-half after Full Tilt Poker found itself at the center of a US investigation into money laundering and bank fraud.  The US Government later filed a complaint against part-owner Lederer, accusing him of running an elaborate ponzi scheme.  He now faces civil fines in the millions.

Lederer is also perhaps the most hated person in poker right now, which makes his somewhat active participation in live tournaments all the more interesting.  Millions of dollars are still owed to poker players in the United States.  The US Government has essentially suggested in its complaint that Lederer was out to rob these customers.  He, on the other hand, blames fellow Full Tilt stakeholders like Phil Ivey and John Juanda.

His most recent appearance was at the Festa ME, as spotted by a member of the Two+Two poker community.

Needless-to-say, the tweets started popping up once Lederer had been positively identified.

@JasonMercier

@JonathanDuhamel

Wow Lederer sits down at Bellagio... guy got some guts..

Lederer re-entered the event, so it wasn’t as if he felt any serious tension being there.

Things that make you go hmmmm.
