Female Poker Pro Vanessa Selbst Wants Matt Damon to Play her in Movie Role

Vanessa Selbst

Forget Meg Ryan, Angelina Jolie or Gwyneth Paltrow, it turns out that if a movie were ever made about Vanessa Selbst, the female poker pro would want none other than the very manly Matt Damon playing her character.

She made the shocking revelation during an airing of High Stakes Poker.

Her remark generated much debate on the TwoPlusTwo.com posting forum.

Her gender has nothing to do with the question of who would fit her best in a movie. We are discussing physical representations, not some weird application of gender-only abilities

She is a lesbian and obviously identifies herself in a more masculine role. Just look at the way she dresses and her mannerisms. So is it out of the question for a lesbian female who identifies strongly with masculinity to want a man to play her?

For masculine lesbian women, it's not strange, they relate more to the male side of society. So it's an obvious choice (being that there aren't many masculine looking women in Hollywood) that Vanessa may feel that Matt would portray her more accurately at a root level.

Just like you have drag queens for men who feel they are more feminine than masculine, the other sides apply as well.

I don’t think Damon’s masculine enough IMO

Now I guess we just have to wait for poker pro Daniel Negreanu to chime in on this issue as he does all other issues, managing to offend just about every ethnic group and sexual orientation in the process.
