Daniel Negreanu Matt “ADZ124″ Marafioti Online Poker Challenge

Most Gambling911.com readers have heard of the year-long Tom "Durrrr" Dwan challenge, which for the most part has fizzled out in terms of overall interest.  Online poker phenom "Durrrr" has challenged some big name players to go up against him including Phil Ivey and Patrik Antonius.  The rivalry is friendly.  A battle between Daniel Negreanu and Matt "ADZ124" Marafioti may not be.

Marafioti has taken exception to comments made by Team Pokerstars Negreanu in which he referred to Marafioti as a "nut job".

Negreanu was also critical of Marafioti's idea for a reality television show.

Marafioti issued this statement:

"Anyways Daniel, I am more marketable than you, I do live a better life off poker and I don't get a free 2 million from PokerStars every year like you do to keep me from going broke."

Then came the challenge, which includes paying Negreanu $500 an hour per table to sit opposite him and a $100K prop bet involving who cashes out more over the next 10 live events they participate together at.

"So in the future, unless you're going to back it up, do not open your mouth in the 100/200 game on stars, because you're awfully quiet when I see you in person. Just come speak with me face to face."

Negreanu had this to say in response:

"If I wasted my time responding to all the completely insane nutjobs on the Internet, I wouldn't have enough hours in the day," Negreanu said with a smile at the WPT Championship in Las Vegas Sunday.

"He falls directly into that category of social misfit."
