In an exclusive to Gambling911.com, Americas Cardroom has unveiled a press release it is sending out Wednesday confirming it has taken over the number two spot in terms of North American-facing traffic.

The traffic numbers come from PokerScout.com, the respected online card room player tracking service.

“We've worked hard over the last few years to make the sites on our network the best places for Americans to stack their chips,” stated Phil Nagy, CEO of Winning Poker Network, which includes such popular poker sites as Americas Cardroom, Black Chip Poker, and YaPoker. “We're excited to see our traffic grow to such great heights, especially because it means bigger guarantees and more excitement for our poker players.”

Nagy was slated to appear live on G911 Tuesday evening at 7 pm EST and will certainly be fielding questions related to this news.  Go here to watch

Million Dollar Sundays

Fueling the huge spike in traffic are several ongoing promotions, tournaments and incentives built for US online poker players. On Sunday, April 12th, the Winning Poker Network will host its second $1 million guaranteed poker tournament in less than two months. The network broke new ground by hosting the Winning Millions in February, the first Sunday million-dollar tournament to hit US shores in nearly four years.

The online poker network continues to bring back the glory days of US poker. This summer, the network is sending at least 50 players to the World Series of Poker Main Event. Players can enter Satellites that pay out packages worth $12,500. Various sites on the poker network have also sent players to big-name tournaments, including the Punta Cana Poker Classic.

But it's not entirely about land-based events and multi-million dollar guarantees. The Winning Poker Network caters to players of all stake levels as well as those who prefer to play exclusively online. The online poker site is gearing up for its High Five, a 5-day poker tournament series set to get underway on April 8th. The 25-event series features a record $1.42 million in prize money.

The Winning Poker Network continues to launch innovative promos and tournaments for players, including the recent Freebuy tournaments, which combines a freeroll with a re-buy tournament. There’s also the upcoming Jackpot Poker, which is a 3-man hyper turbo SnG that lasts about 7 minutes.
