July 27 is the date that the Alderney Gambling Commission is said to be considering reinstating Full Tilt Poker’s online poker license.  Oddsmakers have offered a price of 1/8 that this will actually happen

PaddyPower.com, notorious for offering controversial betting options, began taking bets on Full Tilt Poker’s future this week.

The company was forced out of the US market on April 15 after the Justice Department there indicted two co-founders on money laundering and bank fraud charges.  It also froze funds.  Full Tilt has yet to pay back its US customers several million owed.

On June 29, the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) pulled the plug on Full Tilt’s license and the site itself.  FTP has been unable (or unwilling) to pay European customers and anyone else for that matter since the AGCC move.

Attorneys for the company claim that a group of European investors have been meeting with officials from the company, though no specific details regarding a final deal are being provided.

Affected customers can hedge their bets by backing 9/2 odds that Full Tilt Poker will be back up and running on July 27

Paddy Power and Full Tilt Poker are both based out of Ireland.
