Birth of Woo Baby Could Happen ‘Black Friday’

Not since the birth of Christ has there been such anticipation and mystery surrounding a newborn about to make her presence known on this planet.  Unlike Jesus’ mom, Mary, Gambling911.com’s Senior International Correspondent is anything but a virgin.  But like Mary, Jenny is unwed.

The birth of Lily was set to occur some time around the infamous first year anniversary of “Black Friday”, a day many in the poker community viewed as more of an apocalypse than say December 21, 2012, the day the world is supposed to end according to the Mayan calendar.  The world didn’t end for those poker players residing in the US on “Black Friday”, but it came awfully damn close.

For poker players, April 15 of last year marked the day in which the US Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York indicted executives of the three biggest US-facing online poker rooms – Full Tilt Poker, PokerStars and UB.com.  All three were forced to flee the American market while both Full Tilt and UB.com were left unable to pay back customers after number company bank accounts were froze.

Already, morbid celebrations have been planned for the first anniversary of “Black Friday”.

Americas Cardroom, an online poker room tied into a company that has been around since 1985, is giving away $250,000 as part of a No-Limit Hold’em online poker tournament with the first prize a guaranteed $50,000.

And while that may seem like a nice consolation prize to ring in the first anniversary of “Black Friday”, Jenny Woo giving birth on this day would be viewed by many as a Godsend, a new beginning.

Things have changed little since Jesus was born it seems.

The Bible said of Jesus’ birth, "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.”

Today we can update this Bible verse and apply it to the birth of Baby Lily:  "For to us a child is born, to us a daughter is given, and the government will hopefully be off our backs.”

Woo’s doctor in Pensacola, Florida advised that the baby will not be born in the coming week, which brings us ever so closer to the April 15 target date.  The birth of little Lily, a blessed event, is to occur within the next three weeks.

“We are writing this so that our joy may be complete.” – 1 John 1:4

Former Indianapolis Colts captain of the cheerleading squad, Lisa Perry, will be filling in for Woo on Don Best TV during her two week maternity leave.
