Bad Beat Jackpot Goes Off at Carbon Poker Again

The Bad Beat Jackpot at Carbon Poker went off again today as players cashed in on hitting it at over $210, 000. It happened at a $1/2 NL Hold’em table as it was quite the river card for one lucky “loser.”

The hand all started when the initial pre-flop raiser decided to call it quits after a button (JJ) call and the big blind (AA) coming in with a monster re-raise.  The dealer decides to stick around and see a flop, knowing there are some big cards in play. Flop hits with a set for both and instantly the money goes in. Set over set is nowhere near a qualifying hand for a Bad Beat Jackpot, but after a turn of the fourth Ace followed by the final Jack on the river, everyone at the table was getting paid.

The loser with Jacks took home just shy of $75,000 for the Bad Beat loser, while the winner took home an additional $37,000 for his work. The rest of the table walked away with $9,300, proving that initial pre-flop raises can work in numerous ways. The rest of the pot went to re-seeding the Jackpot for the next lucky “loser.”

The Bad Beat Jackpot at Carbon can reach some gigantic six-figure numbers and getting a piece of that by simply sitting at a table isn’t a bad way to earn money at all.
