Award-Winning EPTlive is Back With Webcast Kicking Off in Barcelona Aug 19
ONCHAN, Isle of Man – The award-winning EPTLive webcast kicks off August 19 with coverage from the historic #EPT100 event in Barcelona.
EPTLive, which was voted Favorite Web-based Poker Show in the 2013 BLUFF Reader's Choice Awards, will be providing a full nine days of quality coverage from the debut event of EPT Season 11. As always, hosts James Hartigan and Joe Stapleton, joined by Marc Convey and Matt Broughton, will be mixing up live commentary and studio guest appearances with competitions, the ever-popular #ChallengeStapes feature, quizzes, comedy sketches and exclusive player profiles.
EPTLive League
Season 11 also sees the launch of the first ever EPTLive League. Players who cash in EPTLive’s daily online freerolls will be awarded leaderboard points, with the top players at the end of each stop receiving tickets for online real money tournaments. The leaderboard winner at the end of the season will win a major prize.
#Challenge Stapes EPTLive fans will be voting for the first #ChallengeStapes of Season 11 on August 19. As always, viewers and social media followers will be choosing from three suitably embarrassing options for the ebullient American. The challenge will be filmed during EPT Barcelona with the video streamed on final table day, August 27.
Other features on the show will include the special #EPT100 quiz, giving viewers the chance to win a pair of headphones from Skullcandy, the Official Audio Partner of EPT Season 11.
EPTLive starts August 19 with two days of coverage from the €50k Super High Roller, followed by the Estrellas Barcelona final table on August 21. From August 22, all eyes will be on the EPT Main Event with coverage kicking off on Day 1b and continuing right through to the cards-up final table on August 27. Shark Cage TV Show The final heats of the new $1 million winner-takes-all “Shark Cage” TV show will also be taking place in Barcelona on August 20 and 21, with four PokerStars qualifiers up against some of the best poker players in the world.
For the first time, two female qualifiers have made it on to the show: Slovakian chess Grand Master Zuzana “247ftw” Borosova and Indian charity worker Muskan “musku89” Sethi. They will join karate champion David “Safari saint” Harrison from Australia and former insurance broker Gunter “colonian” Steinbach from Germany competing against celebrities and members of Team PokerStars Pro for a place in the winner-takes-all final in London. Contestants at earlier heats at the PCA and the PokerStars and Monte-Carlo®Casino EPT Grand Final included Seinfeld star Jason Alexander and actors Jennifer Tilly and Shannon Elizabeth. The show will be aired in the UK towards the end of 2014.
EPT100 is set to be one of the most spectacular poker events ever held, marking a milestone in the history of the European Poker Tour.
