Americas Cardroom Introduces CAP Tables: Limits How Much Players in Hand Can Be

The online poker site that's famous for listening to its player base and making enhancements that make its software more attractive has done it again. Americas Cardroom has introduced CAP tables as part of their latest software release. The tables will be available in low-stakes tables to start.

A CAP table essentially limits how much every player in the hand can bet. Set at 30 times the big blind, the CAP is always the same for each hand, and the same for every player seated at the table. When a player has bet the CAP over the course of the hand, they're considered to be all in.

"CAP tables level the playing field for every hand, giving short-stacked players more opportunity to play and win," stated Americas Cardroom spokesperson Julius Maxwell. "And poker players sitting with large stacks can look forward to more action from players who'd otherwise be reluctant to jump on a raise. It's a new type of table that our players have asked for, and we're excited to deliver it."

CAP tables are just a small part of Americas Cardroom's commitment to making its online poker experience the best in the US marketplace. Over the past few months, Americas Cardroom introduced The Beast (a progressive points race that's funded through collected jackpot money), added a new rank to its Elite Benefits loyalty program, and significantly upped its guarantees.

On Sunday August 12th, Americas Cardroom hosts a Guaranteed Punta Cana Poker Classic tournament at 6:00pm ET, where at least TWELVE $5,000 Punta Cana Poker Classic prize packages will be guaranteed. Each package includes one Main Event buy-in, 6-nights hotel accommodations for two, all-you-can-handle food and drinks (alcohol included) for two, airfare up to $800, a $1,500 resort credit, and more.

Online poker players are responding in record numbers. Americas Cardroom is consistently seeing its cash game traffic increase according to poker traffic-monitoring site PokerScout, and the constant enhancements plus superior payment processing are primary reasons why.

The new CAP tables are part of Americas Cardroom's latest software update. New players will receive the update the next time they download the software. New players can download the online poker software from AmericasCardroom.eu
