Adrián Mateos Díaz Wins 2013 Estrellas Poker Tour Madrid

After five intense poker action days, the Estrellas Madrid finished with Spanish player Adrián Mateos Díaz as the winner of the event. Andrián Mateos Díaz won the ESPT Madrid event for € 103.000 after making a three-way deal with runner-up Jose Alvarez Alvarez and third-placed Scotland player Richard Milne.

The first event of the 4rd Season of the Estrellas Poker Tour was held at the Casino Gran Madrid, and ran from January 23-27. A total of 632 players from 28 different countries have participated in this leg, generating a prize pool of €606,720.

The final table started off with 8 players and the first to abandon was Javier Sánchez Miguel, who takes home a payout of €11,375 followed ten minutes later the PokerStars Qualifier Vicente Delgado “Codelsa” with a prize of €15,170. Francisco Arce, PokerStars Qualifier, 6th with €21,240, Angel Botana, 5th with €30,340 and Pedro Oliva, 4th with €40,960, left the table before the second break.

Shortly after the second break, the three finalists made a deal and came to an agreement: €5,000 extra to the champion and distributed the winning as follows Jose Álvarez Álvarez, E 
€88.512,, Richard Milne, €81.000 and Adrián Mateos Díaz €98.000. A few minutes Richard Milne left the table.

After only 45 minutes of head’s up, Adrián Mateos Díaz managed to end the game to become the Estrellas Poker Tour Season 4 Madrid Champion.
