14 Online Poker Players Win Way Into Punta Cana Poker Classic
Someone might want to tell the spa at Hard Rock Casino and Hotel in Punta Cana to hire more masseuses. Another 14 online poker players from Americas Cardroom are heading to the 5-star resort in Dominican Republic after securing their $5,000 all-inclusive package on Sunday through the online poker site's 12-package guaranteed tournament.
"We crowned another 14 winners on Sunday in our 12-package guarantee that attracted way more players than we anticipated," stated Michael Harris, spokesperson for Americas Cardroom. "We can't wait to see each one of them this October, and we look forward to crowning another 4 winners this Sunday."
An online poker player named Cousy finished first in the tournament, but he wasn't the only winner. Another 13 players won the same $5,000 package, including: Fat Stacks, KepDog1, 9QUE, mmouse28, jgarret3221, theSaucerMakr, COCOANUTSCRUB, GMPx3, gunther1962, H3adbanD, YandySavage, stepntime1, and Pabloco.
Another notable player, NOTATRADER, bubbled the tournament in 15th place. He missed the package, instead winning $2,250. But with a 4th place finish in last night's $50,000 that earned him $3,875, he won enough cash in yesterday's tourney to purchase a $5,000 all-inclusive package for the Punta Cana Poker Classic.
Each package includes one Main Event buy-in, 6-night hotel accommodations for two, all-you-can-handle food and drinks (alcohol included) for two, airfare up to $800, a $1,500 resort credit, 24-hour premium room service for two, a welcome gift bag, ground transportation in Punta Cana, and more.
Entering its third year, the Punta Cana Poker Classic tournament takes place at the Vegas-style Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Dominican Republic from October 12th through 18th with a guaranteed prize pool of $500,000.
Unlike previous Caribbean tournaments hosted by other poker networks where online poker players had to purchase expensive food and alcohol, the Punta Cana Poker Classic awards Americas Cardroom winners with a bracelet that gives them access to unlimited food and beverages 24/7.
