When gun wielding bandits entered a popular poker tournament in Berlin during the Saturday afternoon hours, some of us were not exactly surprised.

I along with Gambling911.com have been reporting on various poker tournament robberies that have transpired throughout the United States in recent months.  They appear to be escalating in violence and, by the looks of things Saturday, these robbers are becoming more and more gutsy.

To think they would hold up a tournament while the event was being filmed.

Heads-Up Poker Day 1 Complete

In the Hearts Bracket:

Phil Hellmuth makes it into the second round of the Heads-Up Championship as he defeated Howard Lederer for the first win in the Hearts bracket.

Dolye Brunson defeated Brock Parker and Chris Ferguson defeated qualifier Annette Dworski in the Spades Bracket. Ferguson will play the winner of Kara Scott and Dennis Phillips while Brunson will face the winner of JP Kelly and Don Cheadle.

Allen Cunningham defeated Jesper Hougaard, Eli Elezra beat Greg Mueller and Dennis Phillips outlasted Kara Scott. All three head into the second round.

Bill to Legalize Online Poker in Florida Introduced

Florida State Representative Joseph Abruzzo has filed a bill that looks to legalize online poker in his home state. 

Titled the "Internet Poker Consumer Protection and Revenue Generation Act of 2010", Abruzzo claims that 900,000 Floridians already gamble at sites run by operators outside of Florida and that state legalization would result in $200 million in revenue the first year.
