Online Poker: UltimateBet Nudges out BodogIt's a close call for the week, but UltimateBet has just narrowly nudged out Bodog Poker in the critical race to compete in the US online poker market.
UltimateBet.com this month signed on as a major advertising sponsor of Gambling911.com and already the campaign is starting to pay off.
The number of actual real cash players utilizing UltimateBet's poker room was around 8% more than that of Bodog Poker for the week.
Both UltimateBet and Bodog are tied for the number 4 spot of online poker rooms that cater to US citizens in terms of total average cash players. They trail very closely behind Microgaming. Both PokerStars and Full Tilt lead the pack.
UltimateBet and its Absolute Poker arm continue to market aggressively and really look to pump up their marketing over the coming months. The company through its ChipLeader affiliate program will be represented at CAP Spring Break in the Bahamas May 8 thru 11 with a special key note address presented by Gambling911.com's own Sparky Collins.
The free booze and food will be flowing throughout the weekend. And so will the money. The Affiliate Series of Poker will be giving away $5000 plus an amazing ASOP diamond bracelet presented by Gambling911.com reporter, Jenny Woo. ChipLeader.com will be on hand to honor the ASOP champion.
"Two of the top online poker rooms will be sponsoring the CAP events: ChipLeader.com and Microgaming," announced Gambling911.com's Payton O'Brien, who will also be available for interviews.
BetUS.com, StraightFlush.com and The World Poker Tour will be there as well.
"This is going to be an amazing event with direct flights from Montreal for those of you coming from the GIGSE show," O'Brien commented. "There are direct flights from the US, Great Britain and Toronto to accommodate all affiliates and operators." (see flight information here)
