Online Gambling Press Conference in Atlantic City Friday

Murray Sabin - the Republican New Jersey Senatorial candidate - means business and the issue of legalized online gambling has now taken front and center stage for his campaign.  And why not?  The billion dollar online gambling industry would most certainly offer a cure for an ailing economy.

For Dr. Sabin, the issue goes even deeper.

He told Gambling911.com last week: "When I take my place in the Senate, I will say NO to draconian laws that infringe upon the freedom of Americans to spend their own hard-earned money where they see fit! Enjoying a wager and participating in online gaming should not be banned. And those who provide sites that entertain and provide services to online gamers should not be treated as criminals."

Sabin's campaign informed Gambling911.com on Wednesday that they were planning a press conference in Atlantic City regarding the need to legalize online poker and sports betting.  An exact location and time would be determined on Thursday.

Sabin is supported by Republican Presidential candidate and long time Texas Congressman, Ron Paul, who is co-sponsoring a bi-partisan bill with Democrat Barney Frank to make online gambling legal on the federal level.

Last week, the powerful Poker Players Alliance reached a milestone million members.
