Poker Icon and self-proclaimed lifelong Republican Doyle Brunson made a dire prediction via his Twitter feed last week: Deny Donald Trump the GOP nomination, it will be the end of the Republican party”.

It doesn’t appear as if the 82-year-old outspoken Texan will be voting for his state Senator Ted Cruz, who on Monday joined forces with the other remaining GOP candidate John Kasich to try and stop Trump.

The poker world does have a special kinship with the Donald as one of its own ended up in the “Celebrity Apprentice” finale.

Annie Duke ultimately lost to Joan Rivers in one of the more memorable seasons of the popular NBC show in which the late comedian apologized to Hitler for comparing Duke to the long dead German dictator.
