Despite better than 85% of the early action on Ohio State, the line on this Rose Bowl game was moving down a half point off the -7 to Buckeyes -6.5, and this was happening at a number of sharp books.

"We'll continue to monitor as the game gets closer to see if an edge will be assigned to either side," said Tony Caliente, Head Sports Handicapper at the Gambling911.com website.  "As things stand now it appears the books may be eyeing a Washington cover."

It is interesting to note that some books did offer the Buckeyes as a -4.5 favorite the first week in December.

Sagarin indicates the line should be Ohio State -5.

The volume is already heavy on this game as of Christmas Day but once we get closer there is a chance this one could even out some more.

In a Bowl game of this magnitude, anything greater than 58/42 action favoring one side will leave the books exposed.

Any move to the -6 with no change in the lopsided action would most certainly boost Washington's chances of a cover since we will then know the bookmaker's mindset.
