Lookin At Lucky

With Eskendereya now out of the 2010 Kentucky Derby due to a swollen leg, there is a new favorite to win, though the field has become much more competitive.  Lookin At Lucky was listed with +300 odds at Sports Interaction.  That's a far cry from the even odds given to Eskendereya a few days back.  The payout would be $30 on a $10 bet.

Lookin At Lucky had previously been listed with +500 or 5/1 odds to win the 2010 Kentucky Derby.

Lookin at Lucky is an American Thoroughbred racehorse. Sired by Smart Strike, a half brother to Canadian Triple Crown Winner Dance Smartly, his dam, Private Feeling, was sired by Belong To Me by the North American Leading Sire of 1993, Danzig.

Lookin at Lucky is owned by Michael Pegram, Karl Watson, and Paul Weitman,Jonathan Pippin and is trained by Bob Baffert.

On March 13, 2010, Lookin at Lucky made his three year old debut at Oaklawn Park with a win in the Rebel Stakes. But on April 3 he had a horrendous trip under Garrett Gomez in the Santa Anita Derby. Bumped, jostled and virtually ridden into the fence, Lookin at Lucky still managed third.
