Horse Racing Betting: Churchill Downs Odds

Gambling911.com has your latest horse racing betting for Churchill Downs events.

Here are your horse racing previews with odds for the Saturday, June 25, 2011 Debutante Stakes-G3. This $100,000 event will be run at six furlongs, further than anyone in the field has ever run.  These are courtesy of Bookmaker.  Be sure to get your bets in quickly as this race will go off shortly.

1-FIVE STAR MOMMA (10/1)– easily won her career horse betting debut over this track at 5 ½ furlongs, although she was tiring during the late stages. She was allowed to get away at 7/1 odds that day despite being ridden by leading horse betting jockey Corey Lanerie and hailing from a barn that has lost only one race at the meet. Inside post probably forces her hand a bit.

2-QUEEN TEUTA (5/1)– no match for today’s rival Culotte in her debut, yet flattered that filly when she came right back to win as the 7/5 horse betting favorite. Inside post should allow Calvin Borel to take full advantage of her speed, but there are several others in here who will be breathing down her neck.

3-TIPPY TOES (12/1)– finished second against the boys in her debut and then won her maiden second-time out when back against her own horse betting kind. She was forced to battle for a narrow win that day, a bit concerning seeing that she was the heavy 1/2 betting favorite. Both starts have come against claimers so this is a big horse betting step up in class. On paper she’s the slowest of the bunch, but fans of Julien Leparoux and Todd Pletcher will get a price on today's horse racing betting.

4-MY DUE PROCESS (6/1)– jumps into stakes company despite being a maiden. She’s been the horse betting favorite in both starts, finishing second each time. Last time out she held a clear lead in deep stretch but faltered late, and today she’s asked to go an additional horse betting furlong.

5-FLASHY LASSIE (15/1)– she won her career horse betting debut by nine lengths as the 9/10 betting favorite but that doesn’t tell the whole story. She beat only three rivals after four horses were scratched from the race, including three who were lower odds in the horse betting morning line – she was originally 8/1 before the mass defections. That race was for $20,000 claimers and these are much tougher. Hot trainer but winning rider Lanerie opted for Five Star Momma today.

6-SHOCKTIME (5/2)– dominant in two horse betting starts at Lone Star Park, winning her debut by nine lengths and following up with a stakes win by 12 ¾ lengths. Her stakes win came in faster time that the boys ran in similar stake the same day. Yet to be headed and she’ll undoubtedly face early horse betting pressure in this spot.

7-CULOTTE (2/1)– showed high speed and drew away from the horse betting competition to win her debut over this racetrack by more than five lengths. Among those left in her wake was today’s rival Queen Teuta. Her winning time was the second-fastest 4 ½ furlongs of the meet. She’ll need to handle an additional 1 ½ furlongs today, but don’t count her out.

8-DEFY GRAVITY (5/1)– Maryland invader has been rested since early May when she crushed maidens by six lengths in career start number two. Her stock rose when the runner-up and third-place finisher came right back to win. Outside post could play to her favor with plenty of speed to her inside.

SHOCKTIMEhas been impressive in both horse betting starts, and her 83 Beyer Speed Figure is the best in the country by a two-year-old filly this year. Today she faces open company for the first time and should see more early pressure than she has in either race.

CULOTTEdid nothing wrong in winning her debut over this racetrack, and her trainer Tom Amoss is 3-for-4 with two-year-olds at the meet (his only loser finished second). She’s fastest of the locals, but not by much, and she’ll need to adjust to a new rider.

DEFY GRAVITYis a much better price than the two mentioned above, and she showed a willingness to rate last time out – that could be a huge benefit in this spot. Her winning Beyer Speed Figure of 82 is the second-fastest earned by a two-year-filly this year – only SHOCKTIME ran faster, but this filly earned hers against open horse betting company.

DEFY GRAVITYalso brings her rider along from Pimlico, another added benefit when the top two betting choices are switching to new riders. She gets the nod at 5/1 morning line.
