Gun Runner was coming in at -125 or 4/5 odds of winning Saturday's Pegasus World Cup, now the richest horse race in the world.

California's recent stranglehold on the Horse of the Year Eclipse Award came to an end on Thursday night when Gun Runner took home the crown at Hallandale Florida’s Gulf Stream Park.

Now he is ready to show the world how great he is with a victory at the Pegasus.

The Pegasus World Cup will be held on Saturday, January 28th at at 4:30 pm EST on NBC.  Only in its second year, it is already the richest race in the world (surpassing the Dubai World Cup) and has actually seen a $4 million increase over 2017 with $18 million to be rewarded this year.
