Adam Osmond was a convenience store owner in Connecticut who suffered from a compulsive gambling addiction that cost him thousands of dollars each week, his business and his family.

Osmond was ordered by a Connecticut court to pay the sum of lotto tickets he printed at his store, but after seven years, a second judge found the penalty to be illegal.

Osmond eventually discovered running and is now an avid runner who helps other recovering gambling addicts.
