Circa Sports to Enter Mobile Sports Betting Market in Illinois

Circa Sports, a favorite among professional sports gamblers, has announced plans to enter the lucrative sport betting market in Illinois.  It will not be able to take bets on in-state schools or the NFL Draft.

The Las Vegas-based sportsbook will join forces with Full House Resorts to offer both retail and mobile wagering, it was announced on Monday.  Circa also operates in Colorado and Iowa, the later of operates a mobile app that has taken in $6.3 million in handle through its first seven months of accepting wagers.

Full House announced Circa Sports will operate its retail sportsbook in a temporary venue later this year and offer mobile wagering some time after that.

“We are thrilled to introduce our industry-leading sports betting and hospitality experience to Illinois,” said Circa Sports founder and CEO Derek Stevens in a joint statement. “We have developed incredible relationships with Midwest bettors at our Las Vegas casinos, so to bring our product to the great state of Illinois is a major milestone for us.”

Circa Sports was founded by Stevens in June 1, 2019. The company's flagship sportsbook in Las Vegas features 1,000 seats is spread across three floors.
