Sentul police chief ACP R. Munusamy said the 34-year-old man, identified as Nikkie Tan, came forward at 8.10pm, about four hours after his partner, Brenda Tan, turned herself in.

One of three women came forward after the alleged incident.  Identified only as “Lee”, she discussed 18 hours of sheer terror, claiming the couple and six other accomplices electrocuted and sexually assaulted the trio then stole funds from their bank accounts.  Lee also said they were filmed nude.

Munusamy said both individuals had denied any wrongdoing or that they were running an illegal online gambling website as Lee had claimed.

“The couple claimed they were involved in a legitimate online business,” Munusamy told the press Thursday.

“The employer told us that he had documents to prove the employees were stealing money while his partner denied any involvement in the incident,” he said.

The incident reportedly occurred in a condo rented by the couple.  It also served as a temporary headquarters for their business.

“We have not ascertained the nature of the online business. However, initial investigations suggest the unit had been rented by the employer for two months under a false identity.”

Nikki Tan posted a video on his Facebook page Tuesday morning denying the allegations and saying there are “two sides of a coin” and “words cannot be spoken simply as there are still laws governing the world”.  Tan said he was made aware he was wanted after friends notified him that his picture had appeared in local media.  Gambling911.com has also been covering the story extensively and posted the couple’s photo.

He added his biggest mistake was to hire one of the victims without conducting a proper background check.

He said he only realised later that she was a “loan shark fugitive”.

“The accusations made by her, claiming I had given orders to assault her physically and sexually while my fiancé was present is outrageous,” he said.

In an immediate response to the video, another of the alleged victims, identified as “Tan” (no relation to her boss) attended a press conference along with Lee at the MCA Public Services and Complaints Department yesterday.

Both claimed they had bruises and medical reports from the Sungai Buloh Hospital to prove they were physically and sexually assaulted.

“We have nothing to do with loan sharks and everything we have said is absolutely the truth,” alleged victim Tan said.

The women say they were eventually released but warned not to lodge a complaint or else the video showing them nude would be released to the public.

This case is still under investigation and Gambling911.com is monitoring it closely.
