Top Bet Checks Bouncing Following Loss of Payment Processor

Concerned sports bettors have taken to the message boards complaining of checks issued by online sportsbook Top Bet bouncing (insufficient funds).

The culprit is a loss of their payment processor, which has also prevented most new depositors from coming on board as well.

Welcome to the state of online gambling in the United States today.

Bouncing checks do occur every so often with even the best shops, most of the time the issue is rectified very quickly (i.e. a few bad checks were sent out by Bovada during the month of November and that company has informed affected customers replacement checks will be on the way shortly).

The problem with Top Bet appears to go beyond just having checks bounced.  Players for the time being remain left in the dark as customer service appears to have been blindsided.  And because Top Bet is a relatively new sports betting outfit, the fears tend to be escalating more than they would with, say, long established Bovada.

Gambling911.com received this complaint for a concerned customer:

“If these f***ing idiots would just be straight with people it would make everything a lot easier to manage. You would think that after all these years these guys would learn that bouncing a check to a guy and then not taking his calls is not the right way to go about s***.”

This was posted on the Covers.com forum:

“what about checks bouncing!? had a check withdrawal for 750 from topbet. Got the check deposited it. 2 days later the check bounces and my checking account is f***ed up for 5 days i call them 10 times taking roughly 30 minutes to get a hold of someone each time. finally get a hold of a manager and Amber Wilson is her name treats me like garbage saying all she could possibly do is send another check for the same amount which who knows how long itl take and if it will bounce also.....but horrible customer service not giving any free money or incentives for there complications. which was all their fault! so i def dont recomend topbet!”

For those players conducting searches via Google, Yahoo and Bing for “Top Bet Checks Bouncing”, the good news is that this company is made up of former executives from other successful online gambling firms and Gambling911.com understands they are working diligently to bring in new processors.  As such, we would expect this to be no more than a hiccup in what is otherwise a relatively complaint-free organization.
