Survey Finds Casino Slots Players Obese, Poker Players the Skinniest

Jackpot.co.uk has released a riveting – and some would say shocking – report detailing the various physical fitness attributes and contributory lifestyles of various casino players based on the game of choice.

2131 British casino players were surveyed for the report.

Among the many findings: Slots players are the most unhealthiest of casino gamblers and tend to be classified as “moderately obese”.   Their average Body Mass Index (BMI) is 31, well above the obesity level.

“Slots players who predominately play on desktop computers as opposed to mobile, tablets and land-based casinos, are the most likely subgroup to have higher than average BMI and associated health complications,” the survey finds.

Video poker players have the second highest BMI at 30.

By contrast, poker players have the joint-second lowest BMI along with baccarat players at 25.

To compound the unhealthy lifestyle of casino players, nearly a quarter of slot players were found to be smokers, above the 20% UK average.
