Oklahoma City, Tulsa Area Bookies: Betting on the Sooners, Cowboys

Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Oklahoma bookies are on every corner, or at least they should be.  Oklahoma is all about College Football and betting on the Sooners and Cowboys, both of which play in the metropolitan Oklahoma City area.

While search queries for “College Football” within the Oklahoma City-Stillwater area have tapered off a bit in recent years, the index numbers are still hot, peaking at 76 out of 100 during the month of September.  By contrast, from 2007 to 2009, the index peak was 97 to 100 during the month of September.  Stillwater itself still sees a peak of 100.  This town is home to Oklahoma State University. Norman, home to the Sooners, saw a peak index of 84 out of 100 last September.

The index number for the term “betting” has dropped from near 100 in during the month of September in 2007 to 37 last September.

In Tulsa last September, the index number peaked at 36 out of 100 for “betting” search inquiries.  For the past few years, “College Football” search inquires in Tulsa during the month of September peaked at between 73 and 80 on the search index.

These numbers are all an indication of the significant betting frenzy that occurs during the months of September and October in and around the Oklahoma City and Tulsa areas.

Oklahoma City played center stage for one of the more notorious bookmaking cases in recent years.
