Judge Recommends Jail for ‘Girls Gone Wild’ Founder

A Los Angeles bankruptcy judge wants “Girls Gone Wild” founder Joe Francis arrested for failing to turn over luxury cars in what lawyers for casino magnate Steve Wynn speculate is an attempt to hide assets.

Francis claims to no longer have enough assets to offer Wynn, was awarded a $7.5 million judgment in a defamation case against the “Girls Gone Wild” founder.  Francis also owes $30 million in gambling debts to Wynn.

Francis has also stated that an angry Mexican businessman took possession of the luxury - a 2007 Cadillac Escalade and a 2012 Bentley Flying Spur - vehicles in question.

Judge Klein asked Mr. Francis’s attorney last week, “Why hasn’t Joe Francis paid?”

Mr. Francis’s lawyer responded: “Is there a reason? Yeah, he doesn’t have any money.”

“Mr. Francis seems to have a rather nice lifestyle,” said the attorney, David Stern, during the hearing. “Maybe he [travels] on the kindness of strangers…I’m not so sure about that.”

Judge Klein also recommended an arrest warrant for Mr. Francis’s pregnant girlfriend, Abbey Wilson, who manages a company that’s involved with the dispute.
