American Pharoah Owner Ahmed Zayat Active Offshore Gambler – Ahmetzayat.com

In a Gambling911.com world exclusive, we can reveal that Ahmed Zayat is still an active offshore gambler following reports he owes over $1 million.

Gambling911 learned Thursday evening from a long-time source deeply entrenched in the gaming industry that Zayat has extensive debts and players at the highest levels of the gambling industry maintain that Zayat “is not trustworthy”.

Further information will be released via www.ahmedzayat.com shortly

Interestingly, today’s NY Times noted that Mr. Zayat is contesting a federal lawsuit that alleges he “failed to pay a $2 million debt he ran up betting via a website in Costa Rica.”  His lawyer called it “a meritless claim.”  Our sources inform us otherwise.

Zayat has on numerous occasions claimed that things were false when he was gambling.

On a previous occasion, it  was against the State of New JerseyAs was reported in 2013, Zayat, “wagered an average of $200,000 per weekend and a total of nearly $9 million, according to an interoffice email sent in September by an official with the state Sports and Exposition Authority.”

The State said he owed money, much of which he paid – yet, not before he bounced checks, according to these sources.

As the Bergen Record noted, “..Zayat’s $100,000 check to the agency dated July 28 was returned for insufficient funds and asserting that Zayat stopped payment on an Aug. 31 check for the same amount. Zayat claimed in the story, that “…the sports authority had made “many mistakes” regarding the bookkeeping on his account.”

And now, conveniently he blames the off-shore gaming industry.

A separate 2010 story regarding other lawsuits noted that, Ahmed Zayat “..has struggled to keep his empire afloat, becoming entangled in legal and financial troubles.” “In a lawsuit filed in December, Fifth Third Bank asserted that Zayat had defaulted on $34 million in loans.”

At Gambling911, we care about the integrity of the gambling industry.  We plan to follow this story – and Ahmed Zayat and his gambling history closely.

This story continues to develop….
