Absolute Poker Cheat Mocks Industry Employees, Players

Aug 20 2008 - 3:54am

A representative from Absolute Poker has denied that a story published on Gambling911.com spotlighting alleged poker cheat - Allan Grimard - has any validity.

"He (Allan Grimard) just bought a brand new Toyota Prado Land Cruiser," a source told Gambling911.com. We were also advised that Grimard (also known as AJ Green) purchased a new yacht and was building a huge mansion in Los Suenos, Costa Rica.

"The listed 'facts' in the article mentioning AJ Green are not factual," a spokesperson for Absolute Poker told Gambling911 on Tuesday.

Oh really?

A Gambling911.com source followed Mr. Grimard in his brand new Prado to a convenience store. Grimard - who finally mustered up enough courage to show himself in public after months of hiding - was overheard bragging about his new vehicle and the millions of dollars he had in the bank, all from his days at Absolute Poker.

A low level supervisor at both Nine.com and Absolute Poker does not make millions of dollars.

Grimard was also displaying the battering he took from his own bodyguard who had knocked him out following an altercation where "AJ got so f***ed up on coke, he said some things to piss off the guy and his own bodyguard beat the living s*** out of him."

Amazingly, that very same bodyguard is still on Grimard's pay roll. And no doubt, Grimard needs one. It is widely rumored that he owes some "tax payers" a substantial amount of money, and we are not talking about the IRS here.

"Someone like AJ (Grimard) needs to keep a lower profile but it is impossible for him to do so," our source said.  "He's got a lot of people looking for him."

Grimard was recently seen living it up on his brand new yacht.  He has also been joking about the Absolute Poker scandal.

Scott Tom, a founder of Absolute Poker, has not been seen nor heard from in months since the "insider cheating scandal" at the company first made headlines. Tom, however, was revealed as a "partner" in Grimard's new real estate venture.

"AJ does everything with his buddy Scott," our source revealed.

Absolute Poker has done absolutely nothing to explain why both Scott Tom and Allan Grimard left the company so abruptly and why certain individuals involved with the online poker room seem so "intent on discrediting the factual information" provided by Gambling911 related to Grimard's whereabouts.

Gambling911.com has been meeting with trusted industry colleagues this week to determine if Absolute Poker is still associating with Grimard and other suspected "culprits" in the cheating scandal who are yet to be held accountable for their participation.

A more extensive investigation into the "cheating scandal" has been spearheaded by the Khanwake Gaming Commision, which oversees Absolute's license.

Certain unnamed individuals with involvement at Absolute Poker have expressed disgust over how the company has refused to hold "persons of interest" accountable for their roles in the said "cheating scandal".
