Aaron Sorkin to Adapt Memoir of Molly’s Game for Film About ‘Poker Princess’

Oscar-winning screenwriter Aaron Sorkin has announced plans to adapt the memoir “Molly’s Game” about a former skier who wound up hosting exclusive high stakes poker games for big name stars the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire. 

“Molly’s Game” will tell the story of Molly Bloom, also known as the “poker princess”.  She attracted the A-list celebrities and would later become the subject of an FBI investigation.

Sorkin’s accomplishments include the recent “Steve Jobs” film that has him in the running for an Oscar nod after picking up a Golden Globe nomination.

Breaking News: Daily Fantasy Sports Regulation Bill in CA Passes Assembly Vote

California, which just happens to be the world’s eighth largest economy, is the latest state to examine the legality of Daily Fantasy Sports.

A bill introduced by Assemblyman Adam Gray went to a committee vote in Sacramento Wednesday (January 6, 2016).  Had it failed to pass the Assembly by the end of the month, the process would then need to begin anew.

Missing Poker Pro Burt Boutin Once Exposed Ex-Wife's Defamation Plot

Missing 48-year-old Las Vegas poker pro Burt Boutin once played a critical role in debunking his ex-wife's shocking claims against her off-again-on-again boyfriend, Clark County Commissioner Steve Sisolak, that he had an inappropriate relationship with her then 15-year-old daughter. 

Boutin, who has not been seen for at least three weeks, would go public in 2012 to report his daughter confided in him that she had been coerced into making the false allegations.

Report: Johnny Manziel Was in Disguise at Vegas Casino

Following reports that Cleveland’s troubled quarterback Johnny Manziel had been spotted over the weekend in a Vegas casino and the Browns organization seeming oblivious to it all, ESPN followed up with a story that Manziel had donned a disguise while at the tables.

More specifically, ESPN says he was wearing a blonde wig, fake mustache and sunglasses.

Fox Sports noted that “as soon as this report came out, a nation collectively got on their computers, fired up Photoshop and quickly went to work on what Billy looked like”.

Las Vegas professional poker player and stockbroker Burt Boutin has gone missing, according to reports.  Boutin was last seen three weeks ago.

Fellow poker pro Mike Matusow tweeted the following on Monday:

The 48-year-old father of three, Boutin is well known for his drink of choice at the poker table, Red Bull, and acting a little hyper between hands.

Oregon Woman Held in Vegas Sidewalk Car Rampage That Killed One, Injured 35

(Reuters) -- An Oregon woman who intentionally drove her car onto a crowded Las Vegas Strip sidewalk on Sunday night, killing one person and injuring at least 35 others, was homeless and had been living in her vehicle with her 3-year-old child, police said on Monday.

Lakeisha N. Holloway, 24, was arrested a short distance from the scene of the carnage, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Sheriff Joe Lombardo said at a news conference.
