Week 2 NFL Betting Odds (2009)

Week 2 NFL betting odds (2009) have opened at Bookmaker.com heading into Monday morning.   Some odds were not immediately available due to player uncertainty or because teams have yet to play Monday night.

Tennessee opened as a -7 favorite at home against a Houston team that got beat up badly Sunday by the New York Jets in what was one of the biggest surprise upsets of Week 1.

Minnesota was a -9 ½ road favorite playing in Detroit.  This one should be interesting.

Atlanta opened as a -6 home favorite against a Carolina team that got dismantled by Philadelphia Sunday in what was one of the most lopsided outcomes of the day.  The Falcons played very well against Miami at home, nearly shutting them out.

Washington was a -10 favorite at home versus St. Louis, a team that was shut out by Seattle on Sunday.

Jacksonville was a -4 favorite at home against last year's Super Bowl losers, the Arizona Cardinals.  The Cardinals lost at home to San Francisco Sunday while Jacksonville played well against Indianapolis on the road but lost by 2 points.

San Francisco was a -2 home favorite against Seattle.  Both teams played well during Week 1 of the NFL.

Denver, which ironically ended up having the most impressive win of the week in one of the ugliest games, opened at -3 at home against Cleveland.  The Broncos have to be motivated after that last second touchdown in Cincinnati to come from behind.

And finally, what should be among the most bet on games of the week, the Dallas Cowboys are -3 point favorites hosting the New York Giants.

These are early NFL betting odds and subject to change if not locked in now.
