USA Brazil Friendly

Team USA lost 0-2 to Brazil at the Meadowlands Tuesday night in their first friendly since the World Cup.

Brazilian youngsters Neymar and Alexandre Pato scored first-half goals.

Santos sensations Neymar and Paulo Henrique Ganso were among four players making their debuts for Brazil's national team in Tuesday night's exhibition against the United States at the New Meadowlands Stadium.

Goalkeeper Victor and defender David Luiz also made their debuts in Brazil's first match under new coach Mano Menezes, who replaced the fired Dunga after last month's 2-1 quarterfinal loss to the Netherlands at the World Cup.

The only other holdovers from the World Cup roster who started were Barcelona defender Daniel Alves, AC Milan defender Thiago Silva and midfielder Ramires.

Robinho and Alves were the only players who started against the Dutch on July 2 in South Africa.

Returning for Team USA was goalkeeper Tim Howard; central defender Carlos Bocanegra, left back Jonathan Bornstein, midfielder Michael Bradley and Landon Donovan, who was pushed up from midfield to forward.

U.S. coach Bob Bradley faced an uncertain future. His contact expires in December, and the U.S. Soccer Federation hasn't said whether it wants to keep him.

Brazil was a heavy favorite coming into this friendly.
